What do you do when your parents threatens to hurt you?

call the police they have no right to do that even though they will go to jail, you wont be hurt that's whats important im giving my dad 1 more chance if he hits me 1 more time he goes to jail once i called the police and he almost got arrested but i felt bad for him so i said it was a lie you guys shoudnt feel bad you should just call right away before anything bad happens
