'Abolition' is usually used as a common noun, whereupon it is written with a lower case 'a' , except at the statr of a sentence.

However, In the U.K. there is an Act of Parliament, named 'The Abolition of Slavery Act'. of 1833 . In this case the Word 'abolition ' is spelled with a capital 'A' because it is part of the name/title.
