In the past, education for Angolan women was limited due to cultural, social, and economic barriers. Traditional roles often prioritized domestic responsibilities over formal education for girls. However, during the colonial period and especially after independence in 1975, efforts were made to improve access to education for women. Despite these advancements, disparities in educational opportunities persisted for many years, influenced by ongoing socio-political challenges.
