Who is the father of criminology in the Philippines?

teodulo natividad is the author of Republic Act 6506 0f 19072 b ut took effect only in 1988. He is is considered Brain of modern criminology of the Philippines but not Father of Criminology because to give this title to a person he/she must be pioneer in the field secondly, contributed extraordinarily and the said contribution must remain effective or reliable source to develop the field.

As for the writer of this commentaries, it was Felipe Calderon who is the first to established the school that teach criminology which is during the 18th century is a major social subject of law degree in the Philippines, and the school he founded that teach the subject was escuela de derecho de manila. established in 1900 Jan uary but the faculty was organized in 1899 and start to teach group of students in the middle of the year. Calderon teaches criminology and sociology in that very early year while the war between the Philippines and America is ongoing. There is no other group or individual who teach criminology earlier than him nor there is any existing school teaching criminology in the Philippine island. l hope it help the Pilipino student of criiminal justice tyo gain history of their profession.
