His relationships with foreign countries were pretty well, as he was a smart man he thought of ways to have better relationships with these countries. For example: while the wars of roses was going on, he married Elizabeth of York to calm down the war and show better connection. He also married of his son to Catherine of Aragon (from Spain) to increase better relationships.
