How do you play candyland?

In Candyland there are four gingerbread playing pieces. One is green, yellow, red, and blue. The youngest player goes first. The object of the game is to get to king candy before everyone else and get the shortcut cards so you can get there faster than everyone else. Youngest player goes first pLayer 1 picks a card. Player then moves to that nearest space and if a double card move to the second nearest space of that color. If you land on a space where it has a bridge with the arrow going towards a different space go across that bridge. If you pick a card with a character on it, you go to that character wheather the character is behind you or ahead of you. If you land on a licorice space you skip you turn.
