Which Effects on the Civil War on soldiers and civilians?

It killed them,basicly.The lack of food and the quality of whatever they COULD find was low and their enemys could just sneak in the night and kill them in their sleep,which made some soldiers extremely paranoid.The reload time of their weapons was also a issue,as they had to stand in open ground to insert the pathetic balls of iron and the gunpowder only to have to do it again,and again,and again.

To say it in a more shorter form,it sucked.Bad.Really,really bad.
