the pound of money and the convict's shaft of his lower part of his body. the convict(Magwitch) offers Pip a pound of money for an exchange for his thankfull-ness of saving him when Pip was young. Magwitch's shaft was seen in Chapter 22 where Pip remebers his first sexual assault by a male. This memory was locked inside Pip's mind because of his fear. You can see this when Pip states, "Thou Magiwtch's shaft was massively harden, my soul was opened in to shattered pieces of glass, creating a hole of doom; a memory of sexual harassment."
