What is Attempts on her life by martin crimp about?

Attempts on Her Life isn't specifically about anything. It has messages. Each separate scene is written in a naturalistic style that could make sense alone. When the scenes are then grouped together as a play this doesn't make sense. Anne doesn't really exist as a permanant thing, many people have come up with their reasons as to why but I think the different 'characters' (or objects ie. the car) in each scene all being given the same(-ish) name is to illustrate the message. The message I think refers to how we live, hoe we adopt different personas/attitudes/manners etc. depending on who we're with, what we're doing etc. I think that Attempts on Her Life addresses our versatility in the modern world and the idea that our life is a performance and the world is our stage.
