Star-of-Bethlehem and paper whites differences

Star-of-Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbellatum) and paperwhites (Narcissus tazetta) are two distinct flowering plants. Star-of-Bethlehem features star-shaped white flowers and narrow green leaves, typically blooming in spring. In contrast, paperwhites, a type of daffodil, have clusters of fragrant white or yellow flowers and broader leaves, usually blooming in winter. Additionally, paperwhites are often forced indoors for holiday displays, while Star-of-Bethlehem is primarily found in natural settings.
