How did Truman doctrine and the marshall plan address the spread of communist?

in 1947 he pproclaimed the Truman doctrine promising American aid to threatened countries and the marshall plan to aid European recovery and contain communism.these plan were started becaue the soviets were breaking agreements and intimidating it's neighbors,who were pertty much helpless after the war.he must have had a little foresight as the next year the soviets blocked off west Berlin and the air lift was on.but that is another story for later time.other's may improve on this answer but you got a good jump start. o.k.?
