not likely - they have tails like otters maybe slightly bent The above answer is very true. A Golden Retriever is never supposed to have any bend in it's tail. It should be quite long and completely straight, like a otter's, as said above. It needs to have this rudder shape so the dog can swim quickly and easily when retrieving game!
