Winans as the twenty-third Governor of Michigan, serving between January 1, 1893 and January 1, 1897. Following the end of Rich's term as Governor, Hazen S. Pingree (born August 30, 1840 in Denmark, Maine; died June 18, 1901 in Lodnon, England) became the twenty-fourth Governor of Michigan, serving between January 1, 1897 and January 1, 1901.
