How did the war of 1812 cause America to industrialize?

It didn't. Industry had been growing in the US since the 17th century and would grow more rapidly after 1840. But the disputes with France and then Britain in 1807-15 caused the country to rely more on its own resources. It was just one episode in a prolonged process.
