If you shoot geese by a lake or pond is it edible?

I don't know of a reason why a goose would not be edible unless you did not field dress it soon enough and the meat spoiled.

I would be careful of any animal killed in the wild. Geese do suffer from illnesses and diseases and I'm not sure if that can be transmitted to humans if they are eaten.
