When did the golden age start?

Depends who you ask. Some say during the Gilded Age in the late 1800s, some say during the 1920s, others say the post war period till the seventies, some say the 1980s and 1990s, others say the early 2000s. But really who ever said the the US's best days are behind us anyways?
