How do you get two players on dynasty warriors 7?

I love this game so much, but to get to the point, The only way you can play two players is to play Conquest Mode. When you get there you should see near the bottom right corner the Words: 2p press start depending on the system. But i'm pretty sure they are exactly the same [PS3 or Xbox 360.] Story mode will not work for various reasons. And you technically don't GET two players because you already have it. Sorry if this is too confusing but remember that its only in CONQUEST MODE.
