Varuna, a large trans-Neptunian object and possible dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt, has an estimated diameter of about 1,200 kilometers (approximately 750 miles). It is one of the largest known objects in this region of the solar system. Varuna's size places it among the more significant bodies beyond Neptune, although it is smaller than recognized dwarf planets like Pluto and Eris.
