How do you say similar Japanese?

同じ /o na ji/ is generally used for that, but it has a wider range of usage, it could mean 'the same, equal, similar etc'. 似る /ni ru/ is a verb meaning 'to look like, to be similar, to resemble'; conjugations of which (似ています /ni te i ma su/) is used to say something is similar to another in sentences.
