As the person above stated, whoever had the idea to go out could pay. Another suggestion would be for the groom to pay. Obviously, if he is in the financial means/position to afford the outing, then paying could constitute a kind gesture, which also shows that he can/does have the means to care for his future bride, and that he already considers her family, part of his own.
