From the Federalist Party... John Adams. He was from Massachusetts, his running companion for vice president was Thomas Pickney. From the Democratic- Republican Party... Thomas Jefferson. He was representing Virginia. His companion was Aaron Burr. From this given information we know that John Adams and Thomas Pickney won the election with 71 electoral votes, 35,726 popular votes and 9 states carried!
