What is honey rum?

Honey rum is traditional rum that made with the addition of honey. The honey can come from several sources. Honey being one obviously.

Generally honey rum has a lower alcohol content, about 20%. Much like other flavoured rums (Malibu coconut rum for example).

In saying all this you can easily make a home brewed honey rum by simply taking regular dark rum and simply adding honey to the drink you are making. It can turn out very sweet so its best to experiment small and working up.

It goes very well with coke/pepsi.
