Did Alcoholism Kill Dan Blocker

Dan Blocker, best known for his role as Hoss Cartwright on the television show "Bonanza," did not die from Alcoholism. He passed away from a pulmonary embolism following surgery for a blood clot in 1972. While he struggled with weight issues and had a history of health problems, there is no evidence to suggest that alcoholism was a direct cause of his death.
