Would trees block a sattellite tv signal?

if tere are enough branches in the way - yes.

At my friends house he can receive satellite in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees.however when the trees leaf up in the spring the satellite signal is too weak to be of any use...Come the fall, when the leaves drop, the signal comes back and his satellite works again.
