How many 2 cent pieces were minted?

The U.S. Mint produced a total of approximately 1.1 billion two-cent pieces from 1864 to 1873. This coin was introduced during the Civil War era to help alleviate the shortage of small change. The two-cent piece is notable for being one of the first coins to feature the motto "In God We Trust." Production ceased in 1873 due to a lack of demand.
