Who makes Kenmore appliances?

Until the end of 2009, Whirlpool made all Kenmore laundry with the exception of a couple front-loaders which were manufactured by Frigidaire, as well as the laundry centers which were (and still are) manufactured by Frigidaire. LG partnered with Sears to manufacture the Kenmore and Kenmore Elite front-load laundry, as well as manufacturing the Kenmore Elite HE top-loaders. When LG couldn't meet demand for the lowest price-point 40021 Kenmore front-loaders, Sears partnered with Samsung (which had been manufacturing Kenmore front-loaders for the Canadian market for a few years already) to have a new opening price point set made under the Kenmore brand. Whirlpool continues to manufacture Kenmore conventional laundry as well as the 4.3 cubic foot HE top-loaders. Electrolux has also been brought into the fold as the manufacturer of a new touch-screen-controlled Kenmore Elite front-loader released unofficially in February and scheduled to enter Sears stores for display in April or May of 2011.
