Can hornet spray disable an attacker?

I don't see why not if you spray the eyes. I imagine it would hurt and blind someone for a time. I told my 5th grade students who were afraid to walk home alone to carry cheap Tinker Bell perfume in their pockets. It isn't illegal to have and it made them feel protected plus if you did spray someone in the eyes it would hurt. One or two used hot pepper in water or the juice from hot peppers that they had in the house in a perfume bottle. So any bug spray would do a job on someone as well.
