How do you program a Dish remote using Power Scan?

Below is the instructions for performing a power scan with our DISH remotes:

• Remote: Basic Remote (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the clear TV button for three seconds until the LED flashes.
  3. Press and release the red TV Power button.
  4. Press and release the Up or Down Arrow on the remote once every second until the television turns off.
  5. After the television turns off, press and release the # button.
  6. Test functionality with the TV.
  7. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.
