Why are there no longer front porches in the society?

Front porches have become less common due to shifts in architectural trends, lifestyle changes, and urban planning. Modern homes often prioritize privacy and security, leading to designs that favor enclosed spaces over open ones. Additionally, the rise of technology and indoor entertainment has reduced the appeal of outdoor socializing, while busy schedules and urban sprawl have diminished the sense of community that porches once fostered. As a result, the front porch, once a social hub, has largely disappeared from contemporary residential designs.
