Why does your arm hurts after choking?

Arm pain after choking can occur due to a response called referred pain, where the brain misinterprets signals from the throat or neck as coming from the arm. Additionally, the stress and panic associated with choking may cause muscle tension or strain in the shoulder and arm area. In some cases, the vagus nerve, which runs from the brain to the abdomen and influences various bodily functions, can also be involved, leading to discomfort in distant areas like the arm.
