What do you think were the most important effects that Miss Hurd had on the author's life?

Gage was touched by an angel (his teacher/mentor Miss Hurd) when he was guided into the Newspaper Club he was blessed to have been guided to this man who taught me a few lessons and answers to life. His teacher greatfully influenced this view.
