Why was the Indian removal act of 1830 a bad idea?

It was a bad idea because the Native Americans that were forced off their land didn't know how to adjust to the new landscape of the dry west. also, some were forced to walk up to 500 miles and many Indians struggled with disease and they were being forced off of their land that was rightfully theirs.
