Can you be on the computer while thunder storming?

its very bad to be on computer when it is thundering because when the computer is onn as it thunders,it will damage many soft wears inside d computer and it may also affect d computer screen. Unless thunder protector is in that building, that is d only way d thunder wil not affect d computer.
