How many times can a cat have kittens?

There is no designated number of times that a cat needs to mate to get pregnant. Just like a human, a female cat may or may not get pregnant on the first try, or consecutive tries. However, cats can get pregnant throughout their heat cycles, and tend to keep mating. This means that it is possible for kittens in the same litter to have different fathers!
