What are the difference between meteormeteorites and meteoroids?

Meteoroids are small rocky or metallic bodies in space, typically ranging in size from a grain of dust to about a meter. When these meteoroids enter Earth's atmosphere and produce a bright streak of light due to friction, they are called meteors. If they survive their passage through the atmosphere and land on Earth's surface, they are referred to as meteorites.
