How do you replace firebird shift solenoid?

To replace the shift solenoid in a Firebird, first disconnect the battery and raise the vehicle for access. Remove the transmission pan and filter, then locate the shift solenoid on the valve body. Unplug the electrical connector, unbolt the old solenoid, and install the new one in reverse order. Finally, reassemble the transmission pan, refill the Transmission Fluid, and reconnect the battery.
