How does a religious experience lead to believe in god?

If you have been brought up with religious parents, grandparents etc, you will obviously be taught the same things that they were taught. Being taken to church, Sunday school or going to a religious school will all lead to a belief in God. You would not know any different if you had been brought straight in to a world of religion. Your family is the most influencing thing whilst you grow up. Therefore you will copy and follow what they do. By following the teachings of God; reading the holy book for that religion, praying, visiting your place of worship regularly.
