When was mythology recorded?

Mythology has been recorded since ancient times, with some of the earliest known examples dating back to around 3000 BCE in Mesopotamia, where myths were inscribed on clay tablets. Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs also documented myths around the same period. Additionally, Greek mythology was recorded in texts like Homer's "Iliad" and "Odyssey," composed in the 8th century BCE.
