What is the theme in three pictures Virginia Woolf?

It is about her pretty much walking down the street, noticing someone or "a picture" and then going home and writing a whole story about them. the second picture is about her hearing something, then writing a whole story about hearing nothingness around her, and the third "picture" is her putting them together.
