How to give Dignity in caring for the elderly?

You continue to treat them the way you want to be treated. They are people who deserve respect, kindness and to know their desires and thoughts matter. I can't imagine how horrible it must be to have spent a lifetime working, loving and making a difference only to be warehoused away; where you don't have any control over the smallest decisions about your life. The food you eat, the clothes you wear, even what time you go to bed or wake up.
