No you cannot.

I'm sure there is some computer programmer out there somewhere that knows enough to manipulate the hard drive within the DVR, and with some electrical engineering applied correctly to decode its signature format, one might be successful. However, DTV goes through extensive lengths to ensure that this cannot be done.
