Does a rapist live near you?

Rapists live in many different places. You can never be sure where one is living. So, you can't say that you are 100% sure that a rapist is living near you, unless you have seen them do the crime.

However, if a rapist or sex offender has been convicted of a sexually based crime and are required by the state or the courts to register as a sex offender, that is a matter of public records. All states have an online registry of registered sex offenders. Most states have a sex offender website that you can search to see if some is a registered sex offender or not.
