Why are computers impotant?

im not sure if i should even dignify that with a response but i will. computers are used for pretty much everything. social networking, military well if we didn't have computers we would have any technology at all. no computer aided design for really complicated engineering and architecture and if computers didn't exists you wouldn't been able to post this question!
