How has philosophy influenced the world?

All political, economic, social, or religious systems have some form of philosophy upon which they are based. There is also a philosophy of science. Everything that people do derives from some form of philosophical belief - except for people who don't think about what they are doing or why they are doing it, and that hasn't happened very much since the stone age.
