Dinosaurs saw using their eyes. Some dinosaurs, such as tyrannosaurs, troodontids, and dromaeosaurids, had Excellent vision and they had binocular vision. The latter two may have had good night vision, too. Carnosaurs like Allosaurus had a very narrow field of vision (20 degrees) and vision similar to that of crocodilians. Dinosaurs, like birds and reptiles, probably could see colors.
