Is the beer good after a year?

Yes, mostly depending on how it is stored...if stored in sunlight, it probably will not taste good after just a few months or less, if stored warm, it should be ok but depends on conditions, if very cold should be good for a couple of years..I have never seen a sealed bottle of beer go "bad", although it may taste a bit flat.
