We have the formula S=ut+a(t^2)

where, S = Distance traveled = 100 m
u = initial velocity = 0 m/s (Because it was at rest)
t = time = 10 s
a = acceleration =??

Substituting in the above equation we get

100 = 0 x 10 + a x (10^2)

100 = 0 + a x 100

100 = a x 100

Hence,

a = 100/100 = 1 m/s sq
