I did not find a Désirée or a Desiderata among the female saints. If it would be helpful to know this: the female form of a male saint's name is a perfectly acceptable Baptismal or Confirmation name in most dioceses. A sixth century bishop, Saint Desideratus of Clermont, also known as Desideratus of Bourge. His name in French is Désiré. Because he lived so long ago, it is difficult to be certain about the authenticity of the details of his life that have come down to us. It seems certain that he served in the court of the Frankish King Clovis and was keeper of the king's seal. Women bearing the name Désirée might suitably honor him as their patron saint.
