If your employment includes a requirement to lift and carry a child, and if you have concerns for your safety and health or for the child's safety connected with lifting and carrying the child, you should seek employment elsewhere. Sometimes, it is necessary to lift and/or carry a child, and if that's part of your job, you should either do it without complaint or resign.
