Was King Edward the third a bad king?

I think whether Edward I was good or bad would depend on who you ask. Clearly there were Scots, Welsh, and Jews who had reason to despise him, and some of his own subjects felt the same way. But he seems to have worked toward a better constitution for the government and better laws; some people admire that.
